Engineering a new central station
Re-designing a public transport terminal
In 2010, the Netherlands will be connected to the Trans-European network of high-speed rail links. The Hague’s new Central Station is one of the key projects along this network. Grontmij has been assigned to engineer this project. The station will be a terminal for buses, trains and trams. The project includes the necessary adaptations for the arrival of high-speed trains and the realization of a new glass hall. Energy for the terminal will be provided through sustainable geothermal energy.
