Geotechnical evaluation of levees

Urgent upgrading for aging levees

The San Joaquin River Delta in California is an area with many functionalities; fresh water storage, agriculture, nature, recreation and urbanization. The aging levees in the area urgently need upgrading. A team including Dutch consulting engineers Fugro has been contracted for the geotechnical evaluation of the levees. The evaluations will be conducted with the goal of providing 200 year level of protection in urban areas and 100 year level of protection in rural areas.
