Renovation of waste water treatment plant

Modernising water treatment in Bulgaria

As an advisor to the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water, Tauw leads the design and execution of the renovation of the central wastewater treatment plant Kubratovo for the capital of Sofia.
The wastewater treatment plant, that purifies the sewage water of 1.2 million inhabitants, will be modernised through a design & construct contract. The activities will be executed in a consortium with HPC Bulgaria. The renovation has started early 2009. It is expected to take three years to finish.
