Renovation Olympic Stadium

Business as usual during renovation of Olympic Stadium Berlin

The city of Berlin decided to renovate its Olympic Stadium from 1932, in order to meet the demands of the 21st Century. Since the stadium is an official monument, the historical character of the stadium had to remain unchanged. On top of that, the home football team Hertha BSC had to be able to continue as usual during the four years of renovation. Arcadis was contracted to solve this puzzle and responsible for the constructional design, indoor environment and energy supply.
